A Town With A Past --- And A Future

Picture collage of Barton

Barton upon Humber is a town of over 10,000 population situated on the south bank of the River Humber. The town has a long history which can be traced back well before the 10th century AD.

This site has been constructed and maintained by the webmaster with the help of the town clerk and other agencies within the town. If you have any comments or suggestions then please email the webmaster. If you have any photographs or stories which can be included then please pass them to the webmaster.

I have had several comments saying that people could not find some pages. As the site grows I can understand the problem and so I have now added an A to Z of the site which should help.

For some of the events this week local to Barton please have a look on this site

The North Lincs Sailing Club have a web page with real time weather information for Barton. You can visit the site HERE

Just opened is a site for the Barton area on Freecycle. This is a group open to everyone in the area, where unwanted items which may be of use to others are offered free of charge for collection. You can also post wanted items. If you live in the area why not register and see what comes up. Link to freecycle then look for Barton upon Humber.

I have also just started a Barton Upon Humber Twitter site Log into the site on Follow BartonHumber on Twitter
