Queen Street School was built in 1844 as a combined National and Infant School. its importance in the history of Infant and Junior Schools must not be under-estimated. Its association with Samuel Wilderspin who was its first master is of national if not international importance. This part of the site is dedicated to the school and the information has been provided by the Friends Of Queen Street School.
